MXT Projects
An overview of some FEATURED projects
Block Project App
The Facing Homelessness app allows home owners to place a block home (eco-friendly tiny home) in their back yard, to better understand how it will look, where it will go, and what it will involve. The home will be used by a chosen homeless person or family for up to 2 years. Our app allows you to learn about the home, and virtually place it in your backyard or anywhere using your phone.
MDRSVR
The core of the MarsVR suite of experiences, MDRSVR takes you to the digital twin of the Mars Desert Research Station where you'll embark on an unprecedented journey to the enigmatic Martian desert analog from the comfort of home.
MarsComms
If you arrived at Mars, the lack of cell towers would render your phone useless. Your compass won't work due to the lack of magnetic field. So how will you orientate yourself, let alone communicate?
That's where MarsComms comes into play. With the help of scientists, researchers, and tech devs, we have created a custom solution built from new and old tech, and allows communication where no common communication methods exist. Through the use of meshtastic beacons, mixed reality headsets, and some computing smarts, MarsComms allows you to emulate and plan Mars missions, as well as communicate with devices and people in the red desert.
Pac Sci - AR app
For a fund raiser, we created a series of mini table top AR experiences. Guests could see dinosaurs on their table, inside a brain, a 1000x zoom on a bacteria, and more.
Pac Sci - Homelessness
MXTreality partnered with Facing Homelessness and theBlockProject to develop a multiple solutions for a 3month exhibit discussing homelessness
Pac Sci - Special Olympics
This is the 3rdshort description. To update, go to the Data Manager. The Data Manager is where you store and collect data for your site.
Space Needle AR app
For the biggest Seattle tourist attraction we created a series of augmented reality Space Needles themed for particular events and times of the year - including Christmas with flying Santa, NewYear with Fireworks, Rainy, SpaceAge, and more.
Space Needle Animation Memento
If you do the VR bungee, you can now receive a custom 3D animated video of your experience - sent to your phone.
Space Needle BungeeVR
With over 1,000 users per day, our Seattle Space Needle virtual reality bungee jump is fun for all ages, abilities/disabilities, and backgrounds. The StratosVR allows you to jump over a near photo-realistic cityscape of Seattle and enjoy the thrill without being sick. It's sure to make you smile - come try it for free!
SysAR
In partnership with Terc, we created a STEM based AR learning tool that helps students of all ages learn, interrogate, and create “system models” in a hands-on interactive approach. This new learning technique helps students understand complicated models and easily adapt to understand how the impact of one item affects others.
VR4MS - Cash Grab
Upper body rehab can be monotonous and boring. As a result, patients rarely keep up the exercises required to help them fully. In an attempt to help, this test experience is designed to gamify rehab, making it fun, repeatable, and show demonstrable results.
VR4MS - Escapes
Swedish Medical Center typically offers outdoor activities for its MS patients. During COVID this was impossible, and so turned to MXT to provide alternative experiences. The outcome is a suite of mini escapes from relaxing by a waterfall, to hiking up a local mountain at dawn, to creating collaborative virtual art.
VR4MS - Gait and Balance rehab
When advanced balance therapies are required, MSers typically come into the Swedish medical center, don a harness and test themselves on wooden blocks. The collaboration between Swedish and MXT now offers users a virtual mixed reality escape with unlimited exercise possibilities.
VR4MS - Underwater Music Room
In this experience, we combine the benefits of music therapy with upper body rehab. Users are able to have fun alone or in groups of up to 6, whereby they play specially designed instruments aimed to exercise in a fun collaborative way
