WOODLAND
PARK ZOO
Dear Woodland Park Zoo team,

I am writing to request permission for students from Bellevue Community College to collaborate with you to film some interesting animal activities at your zoo using 360 cameras. We are collaborating on a Tech4Good project (with guidance from a local XR studio (MXTreality) that aims to bring the zoo experience to those who cannot physically visit the zoo.

We also hope that this initiative will raise awareness of the zoo, encourage additional visits, and ensure that everyone knows WPZ is involved in the community.

As part of this project, we want to create a simple virtual reality tour of the zoo that showcases the unique animal behaviors and activities that can only be witnessed at the zoo. We believe that using 360 cameras to film these activities would be an effective way to capture the essence of the zoo and bring it to life for those who cannot be there in person.

We understand that filming animals requires special considerations and care, and we assure you that we will follow all guidelines and regulations set forth by the zoo. We would also encourage collaboration with zoo staff to ensure that the animals are not disturbed or stressed in any way during the filming process.

We believe that this project has the potential to benefit both the zoo and those who cannot physically visit the zoo. By showcasing the unique animal behaviors and activities at the zoo, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of conservation and inspire people to support the zoo's mission.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Sincerely,
