VR4MS - VR to help with Multiple Sclerosis
Revolutionary Virtual Reality Physical Rehabilitation Experience Suite Unveiled by a collaboration between Swedish Health and MXTreality, specifically designed for those suffering from MS (VR4MS)
[Seattle, WA] – A new virtual reality training suite designed specifically for physical rehabilitation has been launched by MXTreality in collaboration with Swedish Health, with a focus on helping individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to improve their mobility and overall health.
The virtual reality training suite offers a unique, immersive experience that allows users to engage in various rehabilitation exercises and activities in a safe and controlled environment. "While at the medical center, this Virtual Reality solution allows users to be transported to magical environments, where they can exercise in calming and therapeutic gamified scenarios" explains MXTreality CEO, Jeff Rayner. "The suite of single and multi-user experiences developed in collaboration with Swedish tracks user’s movements, and provides OTs, PTs, and clinicians real-time feedback allowing them to make customized adjustments to optimize each rehab session" says Kim Kobata, MS Physical Therapist from Swedish.
“This new virtual reality training suite represents a major breakthrough in the field of physical rehabilitation” said Simon Gale, OT at Swedish Health Services. “Individuals with MS often face physical and mobility challenges, but this new approach provides a fun and engaging way to improve strength, flexibility, and balance, while creating a new virtual community.”
The virtual reality training suite is currently available only at Swedish Health in Seattle, but MXTreality plans to offer the suite of experiences to rehabilitation centers and physical therapy clinics nationwide. It can be used as a standalone rehabilitation program for patients to use at home or in the medical center, yet also can be used as a supplement to traditional physical and occupational therapy treatments.
MXTreality is a leading provider of innovative physical rehabilitation solutions. With a focus on empowering individuals to achieve their full potential, MXTreality is dedicated to helping people recover and improve their overall physical and mental health.
