Pierce Transit

In 2019, Pierce Transit (PT) and MXT put their heads together to create next gen driver training experiences.

Over the course of the next 2 years, we collaboratively created:

- a virtual reality CDL Class B Pre-Trip guided learning tool

- a mock CDL test to allow trainees to know if they are ready to take the Class B

- a mixed reality driver cabin environment that uses real world bus steering wheels, pedals, and buttons in a virtual environment

- several miles of a virtual road that closely mimics the nuances of a particular new route

- a unique virtual environment that allows students to learn and practice around 20 core driving skills. Users can use a multi-screen display or don a VR headset for a full experience
